Service Description

For workers experiencing discrimination, harassment, accommodation concerns, workplace conflict, employment equity issues or other barriers at work. Nicholas assesses the situation, explains the workplace rights and protections that may apply, identifies potential recourse and provides practical guidance on how the worker may wish to navigate the matter. This may include preparing for discussions with a union, employer, human resources department, government agency or licensed legal professional. This is an advisory consultation. Nicholas does not take over the worker’s grievance, represent the worker in the workplace or communicate with the employer, union or other parties on the worker’s behalf. The session includes: • A confidential pre-session intake • Review of up to 10 pages of relevant material • A 45-minute virtual consultation • An assessment of the key workplace issues and rights that may apply • Discussion of potential recourse and practical navigation strategies • A summary of the practical next steps discussed Follow-up support: $200 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. Follow-up support remains advisory in nature and does not include grievance handling, workplace representation or communication with other parties on the worker’s behalf. A limited number of reduced-fee appointments may be available for unemployed and low-income workers.


Cancellation Policy

Submitting a booking request and payment does not automatically confirm an appointment. Your appointment is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation. If the appointment cannot be confirmed, any payment received will be fully refunded. Once an appointment is confirmed, the following policy applies: Rescheduling: You may reschedule once without charge by providing at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations: Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the appointment are eligible for a refund, less a 20% administration and preparation fee. Fees for document review or other work already completed are non-refundable. Late cancellations and missed appointments: Cancellations made within 72 hours of the appointment and missed appointments are non-refundable. Late arrival: Arriving late will reduce the time available for the assessment. If the assessment cannot reasonably proceed, the appointment will be treated as a missed appointment. Provider cancellation: If a confirmed appointment must be cancelled by Nicholas Marcus Thompson, you may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund. Exceptional circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis. By completing your booking, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted this policy.
