Nicholas Marcus Thompson received the Excellence in Justice Advocacy Award at the Fourth Annual IMPACT Gala on October 3, 2026, hosted by the Federation of Black Canadians and Skills For Life in Brampton, Ontario.
Presented by Skills For Life, the award recognizes advocacy for the rights and advancement of Black individuals and communities, leadership in social justice, and contributions through activism, policy work and community organizing.
Thompson is President and CEO of the Black Class Action Secretariat and Co-Chair of the National Employment Equity Council. His work focuses on dismantling systemic discrimination through litigation, policy advocacy and international human rights mechanisms.
